It’s been a short and swift term, but it ends with the feeling of Spring embracing us with lighter days, fresh dewy mornings, greener trees, blankets of daffodils and the sight and sounds of creatures awakening from their hibernation. We may even feel that urge to tend to our new year intentions, have a spring clean or start making plans for the brighter days ahead as we have a bit more energy!
But before we jump ahead, let’s have a cuppa and take some time to catch up with Living Your Yoga news: looking ahead to Next Terms Schedule, Upcoming Events, YouTube News, Funky Wellness recap, The Feminine Connection, Health & Wellness Column with Deborah Thomas, Yoga Retreat in Turkey and a poem…
New floor based yoga practice added to Living Your Yoga YouTube Channel last week. More to come!

LIVING YOUR YOGA EVENTS 2026
Last month saw the first Well-Woman Event of the year which was as beautiful as ever! Spring Equinox themed movement, breath work, intention setting, kriya’s, pelvic floor practice, sweet treats and an insightful and self-reflective tea break practice! The session flew by and bookings are already being taken for the November event - don’t forget to book on! We also have the fabulous Emma Servant joining us in November to talk about Acupuncture and will include the opportunity to try out and learn about ear seeds. More to come on that later in the year!
For our June and December Events, we have Yoga Nidra & Somatic Sound - these events sell out quickly - click here to book your space!
LIVING YOUR YOGA YOUTUBE CHANNEL
I created a YouTube Channel for our community to benefit from short practices between classes, for if you’re away on holiday, or if you’ve been missing any classes for whatever reason. The material on the channel will be familiar to you and consists of many therapeutic practices as well as short creative flows. I plan to add more videos regularly with perhaps more challenging sequences for those that would like that too. Do feed back on what you enjoy or where you would like to have more support in your home practice - I’ll do my best to keep the channel up to date with your needs.
I’ve also had some subscribers that aren’t in our local community that have expressed their enjoyment of the practices too - so do share the channel with anyone you think may be interested in exploring yoga with me.
Thanks so much :)

FUNKY WELLNESS
We’ve had a really busy first few months of the launch of Funky Wellness, with so many fabulous guests that have shared their abundance of knowledge in their area of interest & expertise, talked about their favourite music and have had lots of giggles too of course! Since our last newsletter, I’ve had guests that have discussed Acupuncture, Hormones, Sexual Health, Aromatherapy, a Health & Wellness Collective, the relaunch of a new Health Store in Kenilworth and a local runner who started From Couch25k Groups in Kenilworth. The show is on every Wednesday at 2.30-3.30pm on Radio Abbey (available on internet radio) or listen again on MixCloud. I’ve added links below from the shows I’ve presented this term.
Next week we have Emma Ellis-Flint, a nutritionist, chef and author of 5 cook books specialising in gut health, menopause and fibre recipes. I will then be taking a week off before returning to another fabulous line up of guests, from pelvic floor experts to allotment owners, botox to music… we have lots to look forward to!

THE FEMININE CONNECTION
We’re flying towards the end of the first year of The Feminine Connection. It has been such a brilliant experience so far in creating a really unique subscription for women to explore yoga psychology and practice within a supportive community. I curate the research from my work as a yoga therapist, yoga teacher and from continual personal study and enquiry of yoga psychology and practice. The annual subscription includes: Weekly Writings for daily living and self-enquiry; Monthly Online Well-Woman Classes (also recorded and available for a month); Seasonal Yoga Videos; a Complimentary In-Person Event; Meditations and Yoga Nidra’s. The Feminine Connection consists of a community of women from all over the country that connect on a monthly basis in our online classes, through chat on Substack, or in person when they meet in class or at events.
Here’s some feedback about The Feminine Connection from a member of the community:
I joined Lucy’s The Feminine Connection in May 2025. It’s been a wonderful way to raise conscious awareness of mind and body in a gentle, nurturing environment, that helps women accept and value ourselves as we navigate complex lives. We receive weekly emails written by Lucy, a monthly on line class, a seasonal practice each quarter and more! All of these interactions are linked, taking us on a journey. I’m not sure how Lucy has time to do all of this, but I really appreciate it and it is changing my life, I will certainly be signing up for another year.
Laura
…and two re-subscriber’s also wrote:
The community and Lucy's understanding of the feminine connection, body and in-depth knowledge of well woman and yoga is unprecedented. I feel wonderful whatever the learnings and class content Lucy presents. Thank you Lucy x

I can’t wait for another year!

HEALTH & WELLNESS COLUMN
This term, I’m thrilled to introduce Deborah Thomas, a Kenilworth based chartered physiotherapist specialising in pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy and also a Pilates instructor. I’ve sign-posted many of my students to Deborah and I know she has helped many of them recover from pelvis and pelvic floor related health issues. I’m sure that Deborah will be familiar to many of you, but read below as I’m sure you’ll learn something else about her! She will also be a guest on Funky Wellness in May, so do tune in.
Hello, and a little about me…
Hello! I’m Deborah Thomas, a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 25 years of clinical experience, and I’m delighted to be popping up in your yoga newsletter.
I run Deborah Thomas Physiotherapy in Kenilworth, where I specialise in pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, supporting people through pain, injury, life changes, and everything in between. My approach is very much holistic and personcentred—I don’t just look at the sore bit, but at how your body, movement, lifestyle, stress levels, and goals all fit together. I combine evidencebased physiotherapy with handson treatment, movement retraining, Pilates, breath work, and education, so people feel informed, supported, and confident in their recovery.
Alongside my clinic work, I offer telehealth appointments, making physiotherapy accessible whether you’re local or further afield. I also provide clinical mentoring for qualified physiotherapists, supporting professional development, clinical reasoning, and advanced practice skills—something I’m hugely passionate about after many years in both NHS and private practice.
Movement has always been central to my work. I’m a certified Pilates instructor through the APPI and have been teaching Pilates and therapeutic exercise classes in the community for many years, including exercise classes for seniors, antenatal and postnatal clients, and those managing longterm conditions. I love helping people rediscover movement that feels strong, flowing, and achievable—without fear or pressure to be “perfect”.
Education is another big part of what I do. I regularly deliver workshops and talks for the public and healthcare professionals on women’s health, pelvic health, and menopause, translating complex topics into practical, empowering information people can actually use in daily life. My aim is always to leave people feeling reassured, informed, and a little more at home in their bodies.
Whether I’m working onetoone in clinic, online, in a Pilates studio, or teaching a room full of curious minds, my goal is the same: to help people move better, feel stronger, and live well—through every stage of life.

This Is My Wish For You
Comfort on difficult days,
smiles when sadness intrudes,
rainbows to follow the clouds,
laughter to kiss your lips,
hugs when spirits sag,
beauty for your eyes to see,
friendships to brighten your being,
faith so that you can believe,
confidence for when you doubt,
courage to know yourself,
patience to accept the truth,
love to complete your life
