Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the first newsletter of the year! February has arrived, snowdrops are easy to spot (standing out against the grey and dreary weather), and daylight is beginning to linger for a little longer. We’ve just passed Imbolc on Feb 1st ~ 2nd, a Celtic festival marking the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It’s associated with the stirrings of Spring, longer days, signs of new growth and early lambs being born. Whilst we may still feel like hibernating, it feels like there’s a quiet energy stirring and we’ll be Spring Cleaning and taking evening walks before we know it!

FUNKY WELLNESS: Health & Wellness Radio Show
Last year I was asked to present a health and wellness radio show from Radio Abbey from The Kenilworth Centre. It’s a brilliant community centre with so much going on; I teach our Men’s Yoga & Ashtanga Yoga there; the team that run the centre are brilliant and committed; the centre relies on volunteer’s to help keep all community elements running, including Radio Abbey. I thought why not?! I always wanted to be a radio presenter (and used to make my own shows on tapes from my bedroom as a kid!)
I’ve organised the show so that we have a guest on every week that specialises in an area of health, wellness and lifestyle, from medics and holistic therapists, to nutrition and movement experts, to artists and gardeners. I wanted to interview people for them to talk about how their work and their passion support people making a difference to the health and wellbeing of those in the community, in our society… and I’ve discovered I have listeners from further afield (including Europe, Australia and also in the US!) I also ask our guests to chose a handful of songs that are meaningful to them…I mean, it’s a chat show but I was desperate to play music too!
The show is recorded live from Radio Abbey at 2.30-3.30pm every Wednesday and can be listened to again on Mixcloud. I have created playlists for each show on my Spotify page, so if you like any of the music, you can head to Living Your Yoga on Spotify and find the tracklists there.
So far I’ve interviewed:
#1 Dr Jeff Foster discussing Men’s Health & Testosterone Deficiency (click below to listen)
#2 Sarah & Mark Worth, Directors of Highly Sprung Performance Company, discuss Creativity in Young People (click below to listen)
#3 Nicola Davidson, Somatic Practitioner, discussing healing with sound (click below to listen)
We have lots more guests lined up including: Emma Collins, acupuncturist on 18th February; Dr Louise Newson, Hormone Specialist, Founder of Newson Clinic, Dr Louise Newson Clinic and the Balance App on 25th February… plus Emma Ellis-Flint, Balance App’s Nutritionist; Dr Jane Simpson, write of The Pelvic Floor Bible; and many more! Don’t forget to tune in! I hope you enjoy the show!

The Serenity Barn describe their organic range:
The Power of the "Soft Reset": Why Your Body Needs a February Ritual
If you’re feeling a bit out of sorts—experiencing increased stress, headaches, irritability, fatigue, or that familiar low mood—you’re not imagining it. These symptoms can be gentle reminders from your body that your hormones and nervous system might need some extra care. When we find ourselves in a state of “fight or flight,” our bodies enter an inflammatory state, disrupting our stress hormones and often affecting our energy levels and emotions.
At Serenity Barn Organics, we believe in nurturing support rather than harsh remedies. Our Magnesium Sleep Butter is designed to support deep, restful sleep and promote relaxation, helping your body function more effectively. Many people find they feel calmer, lighter, and more at ease with regular use. Simply massage into your feet at bedtime to support sleep & deep relaxation.
As well as a bedtime ritual, you can also apply the magnesium butter directly to your temples to alleviate headaches or massage it into sore muscles for relief too.
Each ingredient is thoughtfully chosen, 100% natural and organic - crafted with care because we struggled to find our natural organics ingredients ourselves.
This Valentine’s season, we’re embracing a softer kind of devotion—one rooted in small, nourishing rituals that honour your body through deep rest.
Why? Because your body heals when it slows down. Sleep improves. Hormones Balance. The nervous system resets. When you slow down, the magic happens: sleep deepens, hormones find their rhythm, and your nervous system finally exhales.
Rest is when the body restores itself.
If your body is seeking kindness this February, consider starting a simple ritual with our Magnesium Sleep Butter. It could be a beautiful way to show some yourself love.

Born Again In Radiance ~ Danna Faulds
Who can resist that first,
optimistic moment of dawn -
the dazzling sliver of light,
sun rising, rounding, making
the profound shift from
promise to presence.
Every possibility contained
in a single instant; light
linking us to vastness,
light reaching back to the
formation of stars, light that
will not let us forget that we
are daily born again in radiance.
