Hello Everyone,
I originally started to write to you a couple of weeks ago, to touch base and fill you in on the latest LYY news, with the desire to share celebrating 8 years of LYY, officially (9 years unofficially!) over 100 Feminine Connection posts and nearly 30 Funky Wellness Radio Shows! But September seemed to fly by in a blink, I wrote a few sentences and had to pause; just like the shifts, changes and transformation within nature that Autumn brings, LYY aligned with the season and is moving through a lot of changes too.
Over the last 8 years LYY has always had a really strong community ~ thanks to all of you! With thanks to your feedback, LYY has expanded over the years, either through my training in specialist area’s such as Yoga Therapy, Well-Woman Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Mindfulness Meditation; along with leading Retreats, creating The Feminine Connection subscription service and presenting our Funky Wellness Radio Show to name a few. All of these threads to LYY are down to you telling me what you enjoy, what you’re interested in, where your needs lie and what makes you light up.
LYY has also worked in a way to connect, collaborate, share and support other health and wellness therapists too, whether that’s inviting them to talk at my events, work at my retreats, promote their businesses through my newsletters or come on Funky Wellness radio show. Living Your Yoga has never been a business that focusses purely on making groovy shapes on the mat (though that part is a lot of fun). It’s aim was to create a community, to embrace a practice that inspires day to day living, something to enrich people’s lives and help make life feel a bit better at the very least.
Our 7 weekly classes that I design range from the quiet, soft centred and sensual Well-Woman Classes, to the stabilising and steadying Hatha Class; from the playful & exploratory Mixed Ability to the disciplined & dedicated Ashtanga Yoga. Our events have covered Mixed Ability Sunday sessions, Well-Woman Yoga afternoon retreats and Yoga Nidra Events.
But now it’s time for a few changes.
I’ve had to reflect deeply and I realise that LYY needs to move with the times. What with the unpredictability of class numbers , which has taken its toll over the last year or so, and the abundance of health and wellness opportunities that we’re lovingly spoilt with, I’ve sadly had to bring an end to both Friday Mixed Ability & Well-Woman Yoga Classes. I’ve actually been running these classes for 9 years, some people have stayed throughout, some have moved classes and some, of course, have moved on. There really has been wonderful connections and a strong supportive community created within these classes - our Friday mornings have always been such a giggle and a gorgeous way to start the weekend - they will be missed by us all.
There are a few more endings & changes - read on for more announcements.
But! Of course, it’s not all sad news! Weekly classes will continue (see schedule below); there are two retreats currently on offer for next year with a few spaces left on one (and due to demand, another may be in the pipeline); there is a lot going on behind the scenes of The Feminine Connection; a little book is in the making; and to compliment my 30+ years of studying Yoga, I’ve finally embarked on an academic course to enrich and compliment my existing knowledge of Ayurveda, by studying Ayurvedic Lifestyle, Nutrition and more…. There will be more news to come with this as I’m bursting with excitement in studying Yoga’s sister science and sharing everything with you. I’m also taking on more 1:1 Yoga Therapy Clients, so do drop me a line if this is something that you feel may support you, or it’s something that you are curious about.
But for now, please read on to keep up to date with changes and endings below:

FINAL WELL-WOMAN YOGA EVENT
Saturday 21st November 2.15-5.15pm
I’ve been running these events for years. They have been much loved by all, so I’m hoping we can get together and celebrate the final event of this kind. It’s time for change after all…
However, as always, it’s a gorgeous community that comes together.
Practices include flowing & static posture work, joint release exercises, pelvic floor practices, meditation, breath work, visualisation and a yoga nidra. Key themes will align with the season and be based upon navigating change, physically, energetically, mentally and emotionally.
Our visiting guest for this event is the fabulous acupuncturist, Emma Servant, who will be talking and guiding some self-care practice using ear seeds.
Tea and a delicious treat will also be provided.
I hope you can come along for what is to be a really beautiful afternoon. Click here to book your place.

YOGA NIDRA & SOMATIC SOUND EVENT
Saturday 13th December 6-8pm
I’ve been running Yoga Nidra Events for around 5 years now and this event, during the Winter, is probably my favourite of all. It’s so cosy, joyful and uplifting. Everyone arrives a little bit frazzled from the chaos of the festive season, they begin to settle in by creating their yoga nest, and then there are sighs of relief in making time to pause, rest, and reconnect through being held in a safe, calm and nurturing environment. By the end of the session, everyone is smiling, yawning and chatting. Energy has softened, the nervous system has reset and everyone leaves feeling grounded, centred and lit up from within.
I’ve led these events alone with just my voice, sometimes with recorded music in the background, and sometimes with live sound bowls too. I like the variation!
For this event, I’d like to welcome the lovely Claire, founder of Elixir in Leamington, who will be playing her sound bowls to accompany our Yoga Nidra. I’m really excited to share that this will be our first collaboration.
I hope you can make it this Winter - it’s the perfect time to carve out some space to rest fully, reflect and step out of the often chaotic time that Christmas can bring. I write a Nidra for every event that I do - and the quietness and inward attention really aligns for this time of year. Click here to book your space.

TURKEY YOGA RETREAT
14th ~ 21st June 2027
I’m absolutely thrilled to share that next years Turkey Retreat has a fabulous community booked on already! we had such an amazing time this year, that spaces were being booked within the day of confirmation that it would go ahead again next year.
The venue, the owners and all of the staff are so welcome and take care of everyone amazingly! The yoga shala looks out over orange trees (that we consume at breakfast) and into the mountains beyond; every fresh meal is delicious; accommodation is clean, spacious and comfortable (with air con); the pool is gorgeous and the snack bar is fabulous! Massage treatments are also available on site. Bicycles are available to cycle into the town for shops, treats and meandering; boat rides are available to go to beaches, historic ruins and day trips; visits to the local hamman are organised on arrival, along with other excursions on offer if you want to explore the area more.
It really is an uplifting and ‘good for the soul’ escape.
Yoga takes place every morning before breakfast and late afternoon before our evening meal.
The rest of the time is your own.

NEWSON HEALTH EVENT
At the beginning of the month I was invited to lead several short yoga classes along side a breathwork workshop with Dr Jo Sewell and a nutrition talk led by Dr Anna Chiles (both Newson Health GP’s)
It was a fabulous half day event designed to support women’s hormone health in relation to lifestyle choices that may help to be anchors in supporting hormonal shifts and changes that we experience throughout our lives. Both Dr Anna Chiles and Dr Jo Sewell have been practising GP’s specialising in Women’s Health for years; Jo has also been trained and practicing breath work techniques for over 25 years - originally trained in Australia - and I managed to sneak in on one of her workshops which was just brilliant! Informative and experiential. Recipes were also handed out and everyone felt relaxed and refreshed after our yoga session.
It’s worth keeping your eyes peeled if you’re interested in attending any Newson Health events as they do pop up and spaces are limited. You can follow them on Eventbrite or sign up to their mailing list to keep up to date.

LYY YOUTUBE UPDATES
I’ve added a couple of extra practices to my YouTube Channel this term: a sweet Moon Salutation short practice (around 3 minutes I think!) and a Meditation For The Senses (around 12 minutes, guided throughout), inspired by my Ayurveda Studies.
I hope you enjoy them. If you do, please comment and share with others. It’s all free and there to be used. The 21 day yoga challenge is there to use too. They’re 21 minute practices to drop in to whenever you feel the need for a bit of movement and rejuvenation. I’m always interested to know what you think and other practices you’d like to explore - do let me know :)

FAREWELL FUNKY WELLNESS
I was asked to present a health and wellness show on Abbey Radio last year. I thought I might be a bit boring for listeners chatting every week about Yoga, so I contacted a whole host of health and wellness practitioners from both medical and holistic backgrounds that I either knew or had worked alongside/collaborated with. Before I knew it, I had guests on every week, emails from people asking if they could come on the show, and a host of regular listeners. It’s been absolutely brilliant and I’ve loved it! Everyone at Radio Abbey are volunteers - all of the shows and keeping everything going takes a lot of time and effort - but everyone gives everything they’ve got. It’s been a great experience and I’ve been made to feel like a really valued member of the team.
The last show will be on December 9th, and the library of all of my shows are accessible on the Funky Wellness page of my website, click here to get directed.
If you’ve been a guest on the show or have enjoyed tuning in, it’d be great if you are able to donate £20 to Radio Abbey. This will help cover costs - I have a just giving page on my website too, click here to donate. Thanks so much!
Recent shows this term include:
Show #24: Lucy Cash ~ Menopause: What the ****!
Show #25: Solo Show ~ Yoga Part 2
Show #26: Lou Jerzyszek ~ Shamanic Journeying
Show #27: Kerry Palmer ~ Yoga Teacher & Studio Owner
Show #28: Julia Hankins ~ Wellness Practitioner
Show #29: Bradley Hastewell ~ Multi-Marathon Runner
Click here for the Funky Wellness page to listen again :)
Phew!
I think that’s all for now!
There’s quite a few things in the pipeline that I’m really excited to share for 2027, but I’ll save that for next time.
Thank you as ever for being part of the community, for supporting Living Your Yoga…and for reading all of this!
Have a really lovely half term and see you in November.
Much Love,
Lucy xxx
Rebirth ~ by Alex Elle
there will be moments
when you bloom fully
and then wilt,
only to bloom again.
if we can learn
anything from flowers
it is that resilience is born
even when we feel
like we are dying.
